Date: Saturday, January 15, 2011

Time: 8:30 am registration, 10 am tryouts begin

Kickers register at 11:30 with kicker tryouts to follow

Location: Heartland Events Center, on Danger Turf

Cost*: $40 per person, which includes a Nebraska Danger t-shirt

We GUARANTEE that at least one contract will be given out that day!

Special notes: Drills will begin promptly at 10 am. Please warm up on your own. Skills testing will include a 40-yard dash, 20-yard dash, position-specific drills, and a conditioning test. Contracts may be offered to qualified players at the end of the tryout. Must be 18 years of age to try out. Please wear turf shoes or tennis shoes, shorts, and t-shirts. No cleats please.

*If you tried out at the Oct. 24 tryouts, and want to try out again, you will not need to pay the $40 fee again.

GRAND ISLAND, NE - The Nebraska Danger, Bosselman Entertainment, LLC and the Bosselman Family of Companies announce open tryouts for the Nebraska Danger indoor professional football team based in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Date: Sunday, October 24
Time: 8 am registration, 9 am to 12 pm tryouts
Location: 4-H Exhibition Building at Fonner Park, Grand Island, Nebraska (north end of State Fairgrounds east of the Fire Station on Fonner Park Road). Enter through East Doors.

The Bosselman Family of Companies, headquartered in Grand Island, Nebr., owns and operates 41 Pump & Pantry convenience stores; three Pump & Pantry motels and two Motel 6 franchises; eight Bosselman Travel Centers; seven Grandma Max’s Restaurants and a Sam Bass’ Saloon & Steakhouse; and 10 Boss Truck Shops. Bosselman Energy encompasses Bosselman Carriers; Bosselman Tank and Trailer; Petroleum Equipment Company; and Bosselman Contractor Services; providing wholesale oil, fuel and propane delivery; truck, tank and trailer repairs; environmental services for the petroleum industry; condominiums and farming. A family organization in its third generation, Bosselman's has been a leader in community service for 60 years and has supported the local communities through financial contributions, support of youth scholarships, community events, and the volunteer efforts of its employees.

In 1948, Fred Bosselman, a farmer and part-time truck driver, and his wife, Maxine, opened Bosselman & Eaton Truck Stop on U.S. Highway 30 in Grand Island with his brother Charles and brother-in-law Al Eaton and sister Charlotte Eaton. Over the years, this location developed a reputation for good food and good service. In 1965, Fred Bosselman built the Bosselman Truck Plaza at the intersection of the new Interstate 80 and U.S. Highway 281 at Grand Island. Known at the time as the "Truck Stop of Tomorrow," this location became a landmark on I-80 and has successfully served the public for more than 40 years.

Over the years, the business became a family affair with the addition of Fred's sons, daughters and their spouses and expanded into many new ventures. Some of those ventures are a wholesale petroleum product distribution business, a truck tank repair business, a fleet of fuel transports and an environmental/maintenance company, currently all supervised by Fred Bosselman's sons, Fred Bosselman Jr., Chuck Bosselman, and his grandson Charlie Bosselman. They continue Fred's vision by overseeing the retail operations, which include the Pump & Pantry convenience stores, Grandma Max's restaurants, motels, Boss Truck Shops, and Bosselman Travel Centers, the newest of which is located at the same site on I-80 and U.S. Highway 281, as well as the Bosselman Energy division.

In 2004, Bosselman Travel Centers partnered up with Pilot Travel Centers (the world's largest diesel retailer) at its travel centers as Pilot licensor facilities.

Fred Bosselman passed away at the age of 89 in his home in Grand Island on July 27, 2006. He was buried in the Grand Island Cemetery, across the street from the corporate office, and will always be able to keep an eye on his company.
